I have been using this mic for more than a year and I can’t say enough good about it. As a singer/guitarist I needed something that did not get in the way and sounded good at the samne time.
This microphone fills both requirements to a tee. It is light and comfortable to wear and yet provides a sound that is all but indistinguishable from Shure’s legendary SM58. (Don’t, however, try using it as a hammer).
You can pay more for a headset mic but you will be hard pressed to find more bang for the buck.

The price is right for what you get – S. ODonnell – Raleigh, NC
Drummer here — and I got tired of turning my head to sing into a mike on a boom stand so started looking for a headset mike.

Frankly, I got this one because it was the cheapest offering from a name brand provider and it had the kind of around-the-head-and-over-the-ears mount I was looking for.

All in all, it’s good enough. It’s very heavy on mid-range (which you can EQ around, but you’ll need to) and I was surprised at how susceptible it is to feedback from the monitors (not horrible, but definitely worse than an SM58).

On the plus side, it wears very comfortably and the boom arm stays where you put it (and I definitely move around for a drummer). It would be nice if it had a on/off switch, perhaps on a belt-clip pack. As it stands, the belt-clip works well at keeping the cable out of your way.

I use this microphone for announcing at baseball and football games. Works great! I did purchase an inline on/off switch, though.

Great sounding mic. Does not need batteries or phantom power. Fit’s good with good cable management over the users back. Excellent for a drummer. Would have been nice to have an on/off switch somewhere and a little bit more back side rejection on the mic. Otherwise I would have given this a 5-star rating.

It feels well made and has a rubbery coating. The clip itself seems to be made out of a good plastic, a little more flexible than my old clip (which cracked in two). I have not tried using it to do serious recording yet. The vibration dampening, while not as good as a microphone cage, is surprisingly good, and definitely better than a normal clip.

I have not tried it for instrument recordings yet. However, it works great for the oversized Rock Band microphone, which fits perfectly.

This is a good microphone clip, well worth the price. Just make sure it is the correct size for your microphone before you buy….

I’m building a karaoke system and got these for the price and have been very, very pleased with them. I saw a couple of ‘bad’ reviews here but after almost a year, they are still performing beyond my expectations. If I had to say anything negative about them it would only be mild.. they seem to be sensitive and pick up the sound of being handled (ie: picked up, put down, being placed in a mic clip) But holding them or moving from one hand to the other doesn’t present any problems. As for the guy with the battery problems, I’ve been using the same rechargeable batteries since the day I got them. Rechargeables just don’t last like regular battaries but if you keep these mics in the charger when there not in use, you can use them all night long… What else can I say, you can get better mics for more money but if all you need is a good basic well constructed good sounding mic, you can’t go wrong with these. My only regret is I didn’t buy a 4 mic system!!

I’ve purchased this microphone for about 3 months now. The purchasing decision was based on the cheap price and reviews posted by Amazon.I am regretful and very unhappy with the quality and performance of this microphone.
We used it for occasional karaoke at home. First, I received the shipment from Amazon of the complete system. After the setting up and trouble shooting through a poor written instruction manual, it turns out that one of the mic is defective of workmahship (bad soldering according to the return specialist from the factory). I was lucky that they was supportive and willing to replaced the defective item.
After a few usage, I’ve discovered that the microphone created a stuffy noise and we have to littery scream into the mic every time we sing.
Since I had the luck from the return specialist the first time, I attempted to contact the for trouble shooting but waited after a week and receive no call from anyone. I’m not the type of person who likes to shop around for the best price and for the last few years, I’ve purchased all of my musical equipment from one on-line store. They have always been reliable and sold products at a competitive price. Needing a new kick drum mic, I chose the AKG D112 because of its reputation and past experience of the older, industry standard, AKG D12. As usual, I went to my good old reliable on-line store and found the product priced at 0. For some reason, I decided to check out Amazon. For a few dollars difference, I wouldn’t have considered it. But here, on Amazon, was Sonic Sense selling the same product for 9.95. I took a risk and saved .
I am happy to report that the mic arrived on time and in perfect condition. Sonic Sense are definitely a company I will use again. It’s time for this old dog to learn a few new tricks.

When using this mic for vocal using the supplied XLR to 1/4″ cable to connect to a mixer, the sound is low and just fair, however, when connecting using a XLR to XLR cable, the sound and volume are great. NADY should supply a XLR to XLR cable or no cable as using the supplied cable makes the mic sound worse than what it truly is.

These are great for the price. However, they are not made to durable. I set them up in my practice space and leave them set up. If your use is to set them up and leave them alone this is perfect. If you intend it for heavy use- folding them up and setting them all the time, this isn’t the stand for you

I guess I was hoping that this would be one of those cases where you get a decent product for a decent price. WRONG. The legs are flimsy and hardly lock into place, and the part that is supposed to lock in the stand so it can be raised doesn’t do anything! Basically, it is stuck in the lowest position and swings around due to the weight of the microphone. Good thing I had some black duct tape! Lesson: You pay for what you get (I even started singing the DMB song while trying to assemble this POS).

If anyone has any suggestions/fixes, feel free to comment.

Ordering the product via Amazon.com was easy. I received the product quickly. HOWEVER, the product was damaged. Amazon would not take care of it – I had to contact EMI (company product came from). This took a while and was fustrating. As the product cam with no shipping slip, no paperwork , no return address on box. Amazon, sadly was not much help to get information. Finally sent e-mail, waited for a response… I was pissed when the reply e-mail was simply “send a picture of damage”…no other information, no introduction, no salutation. I went through the roof – sent a returned e-mail back…some back and forth and finally company offered to refund my payment. Now I am waiting for my credit card statement to confirm this. I will not use this company. I am not sure I will use amazon.com when they use a 3rd party. Too much hassle. I shop online ALL the time…this was fustrating.
